• Account information: name, email address, and password (handled via our authentication provider, Clerk) when you create an account.
• Payment information: if you subscribe, our payment processor collects your payment card or billing details directly. MyPrepPro does not store your full card number.
• Content you submit: any feedback, question reports, or support communications you send us.

Information collected automatically:

• Usage data: your quiz and exam activity, including questions answered, answer selections, timing, marked/flagged questions, and performance statistics, used to power features like "How I'm Doing" and study recommendations.
• Device and technical data: IP address, browser type, and similar technical information collected automatically when you use the Service, generally for security and diagnostic purposes.

We do not knowingly collect information from children; the Service is intended for adult professionals and is not directed at anyone under 18.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• provide, operate, and maintain the Service (e.g., building quizzes, tracking your progress, showing your performance statistics);
• process payments and manage your subscription;
• communicate with you about your account, your subscription, or changes to the Service;
• respond to support requests and question-content feedback;
• monitor and improve the Service, including identifying content or technical issues;
• maintain the security and integrity of the Service (e.g., detecting account misuse).

We do not sell your personal information.

3. How We Share Information

We share information only as needed to operate the Service:

Service providers.

We use third-party vendors to operate the Service, including:

• Clerk: authentication and account management
• Vercel: application hosting
• Neon: database hosting
• A payment processor: for billing and subscription payments
• Resend: transactional email delivery

These providers process your information only as necessary to perform their function for us and are bound by their own privacy and security obligations.

Legal reasons.

We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of MyPrepPro, our users, or the public.

Business transfers.

If MyPrepPro is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction; we will provide notice before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

We do not share your individual quiz performance or study activity publicly or with other users.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account and usage information for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account and associated data as described in Section 6.

5. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Choices and Rights

Access and correction. You can review and update your account information within the Service.

Deletion. You may request that we delete your account and associated personal information by contacting us at support@mypreppro.com. We will honor such requests except where we are required to retain information for legal, billing, or security purposes.

Communications. You may opt out of non-essential email communications via an unsubscribe link or account settings; we may still send essential service and billing communications.

If you are a resident of a US state with a comprehensive privacy law (e.g., California, Colorado, Virginia), you may have additional rights under that law, including the right to know, delete, or correct your personal information, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. We use cookies and similar technologies (via our authentication and hosting providers) to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand basic usage of the Service. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect Service functionality.

The Service may contain links to third-party resources (e.g., FDA drug labeling, official ANCC/AANPCB pages). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third-party sites.
